Adult Basic Education (ABE)
The ABE classes are available to those students who score up to 9.0 (grade level) on the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE). ABE classes are appropriate for students who wish to improve their basic skills or gain higher scores on the TABE. Classes focus on the basic skills of reading, writing, and mathematical computation essential to everyday living. The ABE program also prepares students for entry into General Educational Development (GED) classes. This program is designed to provide self-paced, individualized instruction. The classroom environment is flexible to accommodate a wide range of students with a variety of learning styles.
