Pilates - Get fit during your lunch break! Pilate's tones and strengths your muscles as well as aids in weight loss. Just bring a mat to class and join in. Pilate's also relaxes you to help get you through the rest of your day. 

Zumba Gold - Get Groovin at your own paceduring your lunch hour!  This dance-fitness class will make you feel exhilarating!

Do you have a story or poem within you?  Your instructor for this class is a award winning published author!
 
Ballroom Dancing I - Learn the basic steps of the Waltz, Cha-Cha, Swing, and more!  This class is designed specifically for beginners.  Couples or singles are welcome, no partner required.

Ballroom Dancing II - This class will build on the foundation of Ballroom Dance I and introduce other popular rhythm style dances.  Couples or singles welcome, no partner required.

"Girls Garage" General Maintenance - Learn how to check vital fluids and determine when they need to be changed.  Get comfortable inspecting your car.

"Girls Garage" All about Tires- Learn how to change a tire, recognize worn out tire treads and what to consider when purchasing new tires.

"Girls Garage" Your Service Experience-Lean how to effectively communicate with your automotive service technician.  Learn ways to ensure that what you are being sold is what your vehicle actually needs.

WORKSHOP

Fusible Appliqué' Workshop - Turn a favorite photo into a beautiful work of art.  This class will give you the skills needed to complete a Photo Quilt.  These quilts are fun, fast and make wonderful gifts throughout the entire year or make one for yourself!  No sewing is required! 

The project will focus on "Max",  a Beagle pattern, to teach you the skills needed   If you would like to use another photo, please contact SFSC at 863-784-7388 at least one week before the first class.  A supply list is available in Building B, at the Highlands Campus or by emailing CommunityEducation@southflorida.edu.

 AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE III  (ASL) CED 0450

Broaden your communication skills with new customers and clients with American Sign Language III.  This class will focus on proper communication skills, sentence structure and further develop skills by the use of NMM for non-manual markers or signs.  Participants will also learn the 10 Rules of ASL Language Structure.

These classes will help you score higher on the ACT and SAT Tests. Math skills including Basic Math, Algebra, Plane Geometry and Trigonometry will be covered in the morning.  Language Arts, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure and writing strategy will be covered in the afternoon.  Test taking Tips will also be included in this class.
