| Participants have the option of painting with Louise or working on their own creations with her help. Information will be shared about different techniques and experimentation with a variety of tools will be encouraged. Participants will complete two paintings during each six-week session. A supply list is available. |

| Students may paint their own subjects or participate in an exercise and demonstration by the instructor. Application of color theory and specific elements or principles of design will be discussed and practiced. A gentle critique of the day’s work is held at the end of each class. |

| In Fall Flex II, “Classical Still Life,” the focus will be on underpainting and glazing layers, as well as color, design, and value. In Spring Flex I, “Lighthouse,” you will study how to use direct oil painting techniques. Composition and color theory will be discussed. Spring Flex II, “Painting on Your Own,” is designed for the intermediate painter. Please bring reference materials for planning your composition. |
