Occupational Certificate

Description of Program:

The drafting certificate prepares you for employment as drafting assistants. The course content includes, but is not limited to, communication skills, leadership skills, human relations and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, blueprint machine operation, use of drafting tools and equipment, drafting skills, charts and graphs, computer aided drawings, and technical mathematics. This is a limited access program. TABE scores are required for admission: Mathematics 10, Language 9, and Reading 9.

Length: 1200 contact hours / 40 occupational credits

* If you do not enroll in the 240 hour co-op, you can still enroll in the 60 hour class and 120 hour lab for the First Summer Flex Session. However, you will need to complete an additional 60 hours in Special Problems Drafting/Design the Second Summer Flex Session.
  NOTE: Any course hours and internship/co-op hours may be used interchangeably after 480 hours have been completed with the approval of the lead instructor, instructional supervisor, and division dean.
