Throughout our history, we have and will continue to serve students of all ages, of all interests, and of many backgrounds and
experiences. Our students come to us for one or more of the following reasons.

• They seek an academic course of study to allow them to successfully pursue an associate, baccalaureate, or some other professional degree or academic credential.
• They wish to obtain the necessary skills and academic preparation for successful employment either as new entrants to the
  world of work or to continue in their employment while expanding their options and their opportunities.
• They need basic and college developmental skills to allow the successful pursuit of their educational or career goals.
• They enjoy social and cultural enrichment through lifelong learning opportunities that are interesting, challenging, and certainly fun.

SFSC supports and facilitates the civic, economic, social-cultural, and environmental development of the college’s service area through partnerships and through cooperative efforts with other colleges and schools, with business and industry, and with all levels of government.
