Policy: 7.03

Title: Safety and Traffic Control

Legal Authority: Florida Statute 1001.64

Office of Primary Responsibility: Vice President for Administrative Services


The president shall establish procedures for the orderly control of traffic, safety, and well-being of people, protection of property, and for emergency and disaster situations.

  1. The president may establish regulations, including a uniform fine procedure for violations of the established regulations, and erect directive signs to cover the use and parking of motor vehicles at all campuses and centers.
  2. The college does not assume responsibility for injuries and losses resulting from incidents/accidents occurring on or within college facilities, including loss of personal property, unless it is determined that the college is directly responsible for the accident/incident due to actions or inactions of college employees while engaged in assigned work activities.
