Title: National Disasters and Civil Disorders

In the event of a national disaster or a civil disorder, to ensure the safety and well-being of students, employees, and property of the college, the president is authorized to close a college campus and/or center or any portion thereof; to utilize law enforcement agencies, as deemed necessary; and to schedule classes at another time to ensure the required contact hours are met.

The president is authorized to enter into agreements with local agencies to provide emergency shelter and medical space for national disasters, catastrophes, or similar circumstances where mass evacuation or assistance for the community is determined necessary by the local, state, or federal authorities.
