Title: Graduation Fees

Based on Policy: 4.11 - Student Fees

  1. Purpose:

To describe graduation fee requirements

  1. Procedure:
    1. Official college diplomas will be provided to students satisfactorily completing the requirements for B.A.S., A.A., A.S., and A.A.S. degrees upon payment of the graduation fee as set by the South Florida State College District Board of Trustees (DBOT).  If the student wishes to participate in the commencement ceremony, a graduation ceremony fee will be charged.
    2. A certificate of completion will be awarded to students satisfactorily completing the requirements of occupational certificate and college credit programs upon payment of the graduation fee as set by the DBOT.  This graduation fee may be assessed and paid at the time of registration.  If the student wishes to participate in the commencement ceremony, a graduation ceremony fee will be charged.
    3. A South Florida State College high school diploma will be provided to students satisfactorily completing requirements for a standard high school diploma.  If the student wishes to participate in the commencement ceremony, a graduation ceremony fee will be charged.
    4. The Florida Board of Education provides a state of Florida high school diploma to students who satisfactorily pass the GED tests. Fees for test administration are paid to the college prior to testing.  If the student wishes to participate in the commencement ceremony, a graduation ceremony fee will be charged.
