International Baccalaureate (IB) is a highly rigorous secondary program of study offered at high schools throughout the United States and globally that have chosen to be affiliated with the IB diploma program. Students participating in an IB diploma program are required to take courses in six subject areas: language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, and arts.
