South Florida State College provides reasonable accommodations to educational/training opportunities for all otherwise qualified individuals with documented disabilities. The policy follows guidelines outlined in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 and the amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 2008.
It is the responsibility of the student or potential student to self-identify and provide appropriate documentation to the disabilities specialist 30 days prior to the start of classes. Students who choose not to self-identify may be ineligible for services and/or accommodations. How do I register for disability services?
Schedule an appointment with the disabilities specialist on Highlands Campus. Be sure to bring a copy of current documentation of your disability to your appointment. Students needing accommodations of services should register with the disabilities specialist at least 30days prior to start of term.
